GCI Shared Facility

The GCI shared facility at the Goodman Cancer Research Institute provides researchers from 22 labs with access to nearly 290 core instruments across 55 categories. Managed by the GCI Research Support Team, the facility coordinates scheduling, maintenance, and user training to ensure seamless access. Equipment includes centrifuges, rotors, incubators, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, advanced imaging systems such as inverted and confocal microscopes, live cell imagers (Incucyte FLR and S3), gel documentation units, molecular analysis tools like qPCR machines, plate readers, spectrophotometers, and other devices including sonicators, shakers, and mixers. By centralizing resources and technical support, the facility fosters collaboration, optimizes resource use, and maximizes research impact at the Goodman Cancer Institute.
