    TMSi SAGA EEG

    Concordia University

The TMSi SAGA EEG system is a highly advanced and versatile all-in-one device designed for recording high-quality electrophysiological signals, primarily focusing on brain activity (EEG) but also capable of High-Density EMG (HD-EMG) and other physiological measurements. It offers unparalleled flexibility for both stationary laboratory setups and portable, ambulatory research environments.

    Key Capabilities and Applications:

    1. EEG Measurement: Records 32 or 64 channels of high-quality EEG signals.
    2. HD-EMG Measurement: Capable of measuring 32, 64, or 128 channels of HD-EMG signals.
    3. Multimodal Recording: Integrates with EOG, bipolar EMG, and various physiological sensors such as GSR, 3D accelerometers, and oxygen saturation. It can also be directly integrated with Artinis fNIRS devices for simultaneous electrical and hemodynamic brain activity monitoring.
    4. Flexible Connectivity: Supports wireless (Wi-Fi), optical fiber, or direct electrical connection (docked mode) to a data collection computer.
    5. Ambulatory Use: Features 32GB of onboard memory for offline recordings, making it ideal for mobile and outdoor studies, including during sports activities.
    6. Superior Signal Quality: Utilizes active shielding technology to significantly reduce mains interference, cable movement artifacts, and environmental EMF, ensuring clean and reliable data even in challenging environments.
    7. Research Applications: Widely used in fields such as Neurological Disorders, Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs), Neuropsychology, Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience, Developmental Neuroscience, Sleep Research, Hyperscanning, Multimodal studies (NIRS, DBS), Body Mechanics, Motor Control, Robotics, Neuromuscular Disorders, Rehabilitation, Ergonomics, Sport Science, Sports Performance, Mental workload, Cognitive performance, and Social interaction.

The system is complemented by the free SAGA User Application for device configuration, impedance measurement, and real-time data viewing, along with extensive MATLAB and Python interfaces for advanced data analysis and post-processing (e.g., MNE, EEGLAB).
