Bruker D8 Discovery X-Ray Diffractometer (Cobalt source)

    Faculty of Engineering
    Mining & Materials Engineering
    McGill University

The Bruker D8 Discovery is a high-tech, multi-purpose X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) that provides non-destructive analysis of a wide range of materials, including fluids, metals, minerals, polymers, catalysts, pharmaceuticals, thin-film coatings, ceramics, bio-materials, and semiconductors. This system is equipped with a Cobalt (Co) source, which is particularly useful for texture and residual stress investigations. It is designed for determining crystal structure, phase identification and quantification, micro-strain analysis, and other typical XRD diffraction analyses.
