Ion Mobility QTOF 6150 and 1290 Infinity HPLC

    Faculty of Arts and Science
    Biology
    Concordia University

Primary Function: Combines liquid chromatography with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry for high-resolution, accurate mass analysis.

    Technical Specifications:

    • Agilent 6150 Ion Mobility QTOF with 1290 Infinity HPLC
    • Front-end ion mobility (IM) module can resolve isobaric ions based on their shape and size
    • Measures the collisional cross section (CCS) values of ions to provide information on their intrinsic structures

Applications: Drug discovery, metabolomics, and environmental analysis. This extra dimension of resolution makes IM amenable to the differentiation of isomers.
