The CMARC facilities provide anesthetic machines and accessories for use in laboratory procedures at no cost. Researchers must supply their own isoflurane, which can be purchased through the CMARC pharmacy.

Usage Guidelines:

• The machine must be returned with a full isoflurane reservoir. If not, the user will be charged for the cost of isoflurane.
• Equipment should be returned in its original state. Any missing or damaged components will be charged to the user.
• For Biocontainment Level 2 (BSL-2) rooms, users must disinfect the machine and gas sterilize its components. The cost of sterilization will be charged to the user.

Booking Information:

• For Goodman Cancer Centre, Genome, and McIntyre facilities, the anesthetic system is automatically reserved when booking a hood in the procedure room.
• For all other locations, complete the Anesthetic Machine Request Form and submit it via email to [email protected] at least 5 working days in advance. An email confirmation will be sent upon approval.
