This service provides a comprehensive, hypothesis-free approach to measure all small molecules (metabolites) present in a biological sample without prior knowledge of their identity. It is designed for discovery-driven research, ideal for identifying novel biomarkers and uncovering unexpected metabolic changes. The workflow involves sample extraction, data acquisition using LC/QTOF, GC/MS, and NMR, followed by data alignment, statistical analysis, and metabolite identification using various software tools and databases. This service is currently offered as a close collaboration between the MIR and GCRC members.
