    Primary Function: The Agilent Triple Quad LCMS/MS Model 6460 Mass Spectrometer is a high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS) system designed for both routine and complex analyses, offering enhanced sensitivity, productivity, and precise quantification. It is a cutting-edge analytical platform for high-performance quantification, screening, and confirmation of analytes, capable of handling up to 100 overlapping compounds simultaneously.

    Key Capabilities: This system features the innovative Agilent Jet Stream Technology, which uses super-heated nitrogen to collimate the nebulizer spray, dramatically increasing the number of ions entering the mass spectrometer, thereby reducing noise and boosting signals for enhanced sensitivity. It delivers femtogram-level detection limits, breaking the femtogram sensitivity barrier for many compounds, and offers a wide dynamic range of over 6.0 x 10^6. The 6460 ensures rapid data acquisition with scan speeds up to 12,500 Da/s and provides precise and accurate quantification results. Its advanced ion optics and collision cell technology enable efficient ion transmission and fragmentation, resulting in highly reproducible and precise data.
