    The instrument

The Sara Abrahamsson Lab at UCSC designed and built this microscope. Diffractive optics image 9 focal planes at once, spaced 0.26 µm apart across a 2.34 µm volume, and a piezo-driven z-stack can extend that. Green emission around 525 nm and a red channel from 570 to 585 nm can be collected separately or together, on two cameras. See it in use for tracking transcription loci.

Construction was made possible through NSF Award ID 1828636. To use this instrument, contact Ben Abrams.
