    Cell Imaging Instrument Booking Service

    Lady Davis Institute
    Core facility
    Jewish General Hospital

This service provides researchers with access to the LDI Cell Imaging Facility's instrumentation through an online core scheduler system (corescheduler.ladydavis.ca). Users can book time slots for various microscopes and imaging systems available within the facility, enabling independent operation by trained users.

    LDI Cell Imaging Facility

    Lady Davis Institute

The LDI Cell Imaging Facility is a fee-for-service core facility dedicated to providing advanced microscopy expertise and instrumentation. It supports researchers from the Lady Davis Institute, as well as external academic and industry partners, by offering comprehensive services including experimental design, instrument access, training, technical assistance, and scientific guidance in various imaging modalities. The facility is equipped with a diverse range of state-of-the-art microscopes. This includes three confocal microscopes (Quorum wave FX spinning disk, Zeiss LSM800 laser scanning with Airyscan for super-resolution, and Nikon AX-R laser scanning with NSPARC), two confocal systems for intravital imaging (dual upright Nikon Yokogawa CSU-X1 spinning disc and Nikon AX-R, and inverted Nikon Eclipse Ti2-E spinning disc), and several widefield microscopes, such as the Leica DM LB2. The facility also provides NIS and Volocity analysis stations for data processing. Services offered encompass confocal imaging, live cell imaging, and technical assistance for experiments. The facility supports imaging of tissue sections, fixed cells, and in vitro cell samples, primarily BSL I samples. It aims to facilitate cutting-edge research by providing access to high-quality imaging technology and expert support.
