A modified Patridge-Smith microflotation cell is composed of a frit at bottom, a straight glass tube (about 65 mL), and a launder. It is able to test mineral’s response at a certain flotation condition (i.e. pH, reagent dosage). Each test is usually done on 1 g of mineral sample, with air flowrate around 35 cc/min.
