Selective plane illumination microscope (SPIM) built for zebrafish, drosophila, and other small transparent organisms. Multiview planar illumination with heating and cooling for live incubation, and four excitation lines from 405 to 635 nm. Discounted overnight and weekend rate.
The Zeiss Lightsheet Z1 is a selective plane illumination microscope, excellent for imaging zebrafish, drosophila and other small transparent organisms. This is the MIC's water-based live lightsheet; for cleared tissue, use Morpheus.
Configuration. Multiview planar illumination with excitation at 405, 488, 561 and 635 nm, plus IR LED brightfield. Z-stacks and time lapse are supported. Live imaging is a strength here: in vivo work on small organisms, with live cell incubation and both heating and cooling.
Objectives. 5x, 20x W dipping, and 40x W.
Software. Zen 2012 LS, with Zen Lite available as a free viewer. Laser use authorization 4152.

Research lab focused on advancing scientific knowledge and innovation.
