A complex stain used to simultaneously stain collagen, reticular fibers, muscle, elastic fibers, and nuclei.Commonly used to study connective tissues like lungs, blood vessels, and the heart.

Results: Mucin stains blue-green; nuclei and elastic fibers stain black; collagen and reticular fibers stain yellow; fibrin and muscle stain red.​
