    What researchers can do

Laser-scanning confocal with a white-light laser, three STED depletion lasers and fluorescence lifetime imaging, for fixed and live samples.

This laser-scanning confocal combines a pulsed white-light laser (440-790 nm), five high-sensitivity photon-counting detectors and three STED depletion lasers for confocal, super-resolution and fluorescence lifetime imaging. It handles fixed samples and live cells, with temperature and 5% CO2 control.

    • Laser-scanning confocal microscopy
    • Multichannel STED and Tau-STED super-resolution
    • Fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) and FLIM-FRET
    • FRAP and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS)
    • Lambda scanning (excitation and emission) and spectral unmixing
    • Live-cell imaging with temperature and 5% CO2 control

Requires training by core staff and current UC laser safety training. Room 451J, Weill Neurosciences Building.
