Application: A modified version of the Giemsa stain, incorporating Wright’s stain as a counterstain to enhance contrast. Used for blood smears, bone marrow analysis, and blood parasite identification.
Results:
- Nuclei, RNA, and acidic components stain blue-purple
- Other cellular components stain red-orange
- Cytoplasm appears orange-pink
