HUVEC CMV-GFP cells are human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) that have been transduced with a cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter-driven green fluorescent protein (GFP) reporter. They are used to study endothelial cell function, angiogenesis, and gene expression. The GFP reporter allows for easy visualization and quantification of gene expression., HUVECs are commonly used in vascular biology research, drug screening, and cytotoxicity assays. They are typically cultured in endothelial cell growth medium supplemented with serum and growth factors. The cells' expression of GFP is driven by the CMV promoter, which is constitutively active in many cell types. The quantity is often around 10^6 cells/mL.
