    Zoom (Zeiss AxioZoom Fluorescent Stereoscope)
    EquipmentAvailable

    Zoom (Zeiss AxioZoom Fluorescent Stereoscope)

    Pricing

    $40 / hour

    UC Berkeley

    What researchers can do

Large-field fluorescent imaging station for screening or large sample collection, with a 7x to 112x zoom factor and XY stitching. Filters for DAPI, CFP, GFP, YFP and RFP, transmitted or reflected brightfield, and well plate support. No training charge.

The AxioZoom is a large-field fluorescent imaging station, built for screening and for collecting large sample sizes without stitching yourself to death.

Configuration. Upright stand with a 7x to 112x zoom factor. There are no lasers; filters cover DAPI, CFP, GFP, YFP and RFP. Brightfield is available in both transmitted and reflected modes. Z-stacks and time lapse are supported, and low-magnification widefield live imaging works well. XY stitching is built in and well plates are supported.

Objectives. 1.0x/0.25 (air, 56 mm field); 1.2x (air); 2.3x/0.57 (air, WD 10.6 mm).

Software. Zen Blue 2012, with Zen Lite available as a free viewer.
