    What researchers can do

    Inverted confocal combining Airyscan 2 super-resolution, Becker-Hickl fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), and a Spectra-Physics MaiTai two-photon laser (690 to 1020 nm). Separate FLIM excitation lines at 445, 488, 562 and 640 nm. FCS is planned.

    Zeiss LSM 980 NLO combining Airyscan 2 super-resolution, a Spectra-Physics MaiTai two-photon laser, and Becker-Hickl FLIM electronics on an inverted stand.

    Configuration. Confocal excitation at 405, 488, 514, 561 and 639 nm, with dedicated FLIM excitation at 445, 488, 562 and 640 nm, and the MaiTai HP covering 690 to 1020 nm for multi-photon work. Point-scanning photostimulation is available at both one and two photons, and transmitted-light brightfield runs through a T-PMT. Airyscan 2 and FLIM are both installed; FCS is coming soon. Z-stacks, time lapse and live imaging are all supported.

    Airyscan emission filters. BP 420-480 with BP 495-550; BP 420-480 with BP 570-630; BP 465-505 with BP 525-585; BP 495-550 with BP 570-630; BP 495-550 with LP 660; BP 570-620 with LP 660.

    Objectives. Plan-Neofluar 10x/0.30 (air, WD 5.5 mm); Plan-Neofluar 20x/0.50 (air, WD 2.0 mm); EC Plan-Neofluar 40x/1.30 Oil (WD 0.21 mm); C-Apochromat 40x/1.20 W Korr UV-Vis-IR (water, WD 0.28 mm); Plan-Apochromat 63x/1.40 Oil DIC M27 (WD 0.19 mm).

    Software. Zen Blue. Laser use authorization 4148.
