The SkyScan 1172 is a high-resolution X-ray micro-computed tomography tissue scanner. It produces cross-section images in a wide range of formats, up to 8000 x 8000 pixels. You can scan high-density tissue such as bone as well as softer, low-density tissue such as lung, along with graphene and other porous materials.
Its dynamically variable acquisition geometry keeps scan times as short as possible at any magnification. The scanner is in the Micron Engineering Center, room MEC 308, not in our main lab in RUCH 104A.
