    Primary Function: The Biomek FXp Liquid Handling System is a highly versatile and robust automated liquid handling workstation designed for precision pipetting, dilution, and dispensing tasks in high-throughput laboratory environments. It offers exceptional flexibility and accuracy for a wide range of applications, streamlining complex experimental protocols.

    Key Capabilities: This system can be configured with various pipetting modules, including 96-channel, 384-channel, and Span-8 (8-channel independent Y- and Z-axes) for flexible well access. It features a high-capacity deck to accommodate diverse labware types and can integrate with third-party devices such as plate readers, washers, and storage systems. The integrated gripper facilitates efficient plate and tip box movement, enhancing walk-away time. The Biomek FXp is known for its positional accuracy, reproducibility, and ability to handle low-volume transfers, making it suitable for miniaturized reaction setups.

    Current Availability Context: Please note that the Biomek FXp product line is no longer available for purchase new from Beckman Coulter, but it remains a widely used and supported system in the secondary market for rental and purchase of used equipment.
