Our live-cell widefield images unlabeled and fluorescent samples with bright-field, DIC and phase contrast, on two monochrome cameras. Swap the sample holder to take slides, petri dishes or multi-well plates. A 63x water-immersion objective is installed on request.
You need documented BSL2 clearance before using this scope. Sessions longer than 12 hours count as long sessions: book at least 24 hours ahead for one between 6 PM and 9 AM, or at least 7 days ahead otherwise, and email the scope's user group either way. Multi-day experiments that need daily access must book all their time at or before the start.
A 24-hour block is also available: $122.34 for UCSC users, $191.47 for external non-profit users and $382.93 for companies.
