    Primary Function: A meticulously furnished bedroom, designated for advanced sleep studies and comfortable participant accommodation within a state-of-the-art Sleep Lab facility.

    Technical Specifications:

    1. Furnished with a comfortable single-sized bed (meeting or exceeding standard hospital bed dimensions), a functional desk, nightstand, easy chair, and dresser for personal storage, designed to create a home-like, non-clinical environment.
    2. Equipped with a high-definition closed-circuit video camera and integrated infrared (IR) LED lighting for continuous, discreet visual monitoring in low-light conditions, often featuring LAN connectivity and two-way audio communication capabilities for technologist interaction.
    3. Features a dedicated porthole for seamless connection of physiological monitoring cables and passage of tubing for various collections, ensuring minimal disturbance to the participant.
    4. Part of a comprehensive suite with shared, accessible facilities including a central control room (equipped with advanced computers for real-time monitoring and data acquisition, often with live remote viewing capabilities), a versatile multifunctional space (with additional computers, secure locked storage cabinets, a sink, refrigerator, table, toaster, and microwave), an adjacent consultation room (available for separate booking, featuring locked cabinets, a sink, and a portable freezer), and a shared, clean bathroom (with sink, toilet, and shower facilities; linen available on demand, with consideration for handicap accessibility).
    5. The room is designed with enhanced soundproofing, light attenuation capabilities (e.g., blackout curtains), and precise ambient temperature control (typically maintained between 21-25 °C) to optimize sleep conditions.
    6. Ample clear space (minimum 24 inches on three sides) around the bed ensures unimpeded emergency personnel access.
    7. Capacity: Accommodates 6 users (staff/researchers) / 1 participant (single occupancy for sleep studies).
