Vytran, CO₂, and Plasma Optical Fiber Splicers

This laboratory houses five fusion splicers, each with its own splicing technology, including two Vytran units (FFS2000 and GPX3000), a CO₂ laser splicer, and a plasma splicer. Together, they handle a wide variety of optical fibers, including the specialty fibers we draw. The laboratory also includes a Lightel coupler fabrication station as well as cleaving, stripping, and recoating stations.
