Inflammation plays a crucial role in atherosclerosis and contributes to insulin resistance. Up to 10 proinflammatory cytokines (IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12 p70, KC/GRO and TNF-α) can be measured in 25 µL of serum (50 µL for duplicates) on a Meso Scale Discovery Sector Imager.
