Rodimus Prime (Zeiss LSM 900 Axio Observer)

    Pricing

    $110 / hour

    UC Berkeley

    What researchers can do

Inverted 2-channel spectral laser scanning confocal with CO2 and temperature incubation for live cell work. Spectral detection with linear unmixing, polarization and anisotropy, point-scanning photostimulation, XY stitching, and well plate support. Discounted overnight and weekend rate.

The LSM 900 is a 2-channel spectral laser scanning confocal with a CO2 and temperature incubation chamber for live cell work.

Configuration. Inverted Axio Observer stand with excitation at 405, 488, 561 and 633 nm. Point-scanning photostimulation is available, and transmitted-light brightfield runs through a T-PMT. Spectral detection with linear unmixing is supported, as are polarization and anisotropy measurements. Z-stacks and time lapse are supported, with live cell incubation and CO2. XY stitching is built in and well plates are supported.

    Objectives. 10x air, 20x air, 40x air, 40x water, 40x oil, and 63x oil.

Software. Zen 2010, with Zen Lite available as a free viewer. Laser use authorization 4156.
