    What researchers can do

Time with our staff, billed by the hour. Drop off your samples and we image them for you, then process and analyze the data to the level you need. Instrument time may be billed separately.

    You provide

    • Your sample and how it was prepared
    • Sample hazards
    • Images, scan size and resolution
    • Measurements needed
    • Papers showing similar samples

    This service

    US$15 to US$100 / hourView pricing

You get a quote confirming scope and timing before work starts.

    You receive

    • Raw AFM images
    • Tabular numerical results
    • Journal-quality images
    • Summary report

If you would rather not run the AFM yourself, drop off your samples and our staff will image them. When you press Request service, our short imaging form asks about your samples (hazards, how they were prepared and cleaned, special handling) and the data you need: number of images, scan sizes and resolution, expected height range, data types such as topography, roughness, conductivity or surface potential, and how soon you need them.

Samples must be scrupulously clean: if you can see even a small speck of dirt, the AFM will pick up more that can hide what you want to observe. If you need fast turnaround, plan ahead with us so we can reserve the instrument and staff time.
