Our laboratory offers comprehensive endoparasite and ectoparasite screening for research and diagnostic applications. We utilize both direct examination and molecular detection methods to ensure accurate identification.
Tests Available:
✔ Endoparasite Screening – Detection of internal parasites from fecal and tape preparations
✔ Ectoparasite Screening – Identification of external parasites from fur and skin samples
Specimen Requirements:
Direct Examination:
- Endoparasites:
- Acetate tape preparation
- Fresh feces
- Ectoparasites:
- Fur pluck or skin scrapings
PCR Testing: (Up to 10 samples can be pooled and tested as a single group with one result report)
- Fresh feces
- Fur swab
