The GILSON SP1 Universal Sample Splitter, also known as a riffler, is a rugged, high-capacity floor model designed for dividing samples of aggregate, ore, and other granular materials with precision. It accepts particle sizes from ¼ inch (6.35 mm) to 4 inches (102 mm) in diameter and splits the sample into two representative portions with each pass. The hopper has an approximate capacity of 30 Kg (1 cubic foot or 28.3 liters). Its lever-release mechanism allows for controlled and precise splits, ensuring uniform distribution of material through the chutes. Made from heavy-gauge painted steel and anodized aluminum, it is built for durability in both laboratory and field use.
