DNA methylation plays a crucial role in epigenetic regulation, influencing gene expression, genomic stability, and cellular differentiation. C3G’s Methyl-Seq pipeline provides comprehensive analysis of DNA methylation changes at single-base resolution, offering insights into the epigenomic landscape across different conditions.

Using Bismark, C3G aligns sequencing reads to a bisulfite-converted reference genome, accurately estimating methylation levels at each CpG site. Differential methylation analysis is performed using simple or complex linear models, allowing researchers to identify significant changes in methylation patterns across experimental conditions.

C3G’s Methyl-Seq pipeline is also optimized for:

    • Reduced Representation Bisulfite Sequencing (RRBS), a cost-effective method for analyzing CpG-dense genomic regions.
    • Targeted bisulfite sequencing using the SeqCap Epi system, enabling high-depth methylation profiling of specific genomic regions.

By integrating methylation analysis with other epigenomic and transcriptomic data, C3G’s Methyl-Seq services provide a powerful tool for understanding the role of DNA methylation in gene regulation, development, and disease progression.
