This ISO Class 5 environment (equivalent to Class 100) is certified to maintain fewer than 100 particles of 0.5 µm or larger per cubic foot of air. Air is recirculated through HEPA filters in a vertical laminar flow arrangement. Temperature and humidity are held within tight tolerances to ensure reproducible fabrication conditions. Entry is through a gowning anteroom equipped with sterile garments and boot covers. Anti static flooring and electrostatic discharge safe work surfaces protect sensitive components.
We use this cleanroom mainly for 3D printing of molds and PDMS cast fabrication, where low particulate levels are critical to achieving defect-free microstructures.
