The core's largest group of tests, used across models of Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy and other brain disorders. Spatial learning and memory: Barnes maze, Morris water maze, water cross maze, spontaneous alternation, hole board, response learning and repeated open field activity. Recognition memory: novel object, novel place and novel arm recognition, object and context congruence, and pattern separation. Associative and aversive learning: contextual and cued fear conditioning, passive and active avoidance, interactive place avoidance, conditioned place preference and aversion. Attention, discrimination and operant learning: five-choice serial reaction time, paired associates learning, visual and olfactory discrimination, and operant and instrumental conditioning. Reward learning: operant self-administration and Pavlovian conditioned approach.
Tests are chosen for your model and question and run as a battery by the core's staff, with analysis and interpretation included.
